BEH Presents Schertz Community Health Fair

Schertz Chamber of Commerce to host Health and Wholeness Fair – Saturday, January 31

SAN ANTONIO – January 29, 2015 – Baptist Emergency Hospital has partnered with the Schertz Chamber of Commerce to host the third annual Health and Wholeness Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 31. The event will be held at the Schertz Civic Center, 1400 Schertz Parkway, Building 5. Admission is free.

The event offers area residents the opportunity to get a flu shot, have their blood pressure checked, visit with several health specialists and get information on nutrition and fitness — all for free and under one roof.

“We are excited to partner with the Schertz Chamber of Commerce in this unique opportunity to provide healthcare and information to the Schertz community and surrounding area,” said Adolfo Carrasco, CEO – Baptist Emergency Hospitals. “This kind of health fair emphasizes the kind of compassionate, community-based care that we specialize in.”

Close to 80 vendors, ranging from medical specialists and nutritionists to physical therapists and fitness experts, will be at the fair. Attendees can take advantage of free health screenings, including blood pressure, cholesterol and hearing. Members of Schertz EMS will also give free flu shots.

The fair intends to cover the four aspects of healthy living: spiritual, nutritional, physical and mental.
